Just want to say Hi. I have been skating since I was 3 years old, so been at it 20 years now. I started out on my dads 70's boards. He had two. Don't know who the manufacturer of them were, but they are fiberglass with a honeycombed pattern on top, kinda like a golfball surface. They are set up with ACS 650's and 400's with Sims Pure Juice Comp II wheels. I rode those until my Junior year of high school when i bought a 48" Cruiser from BareBack skateboards. I have been crusin on that and a gravity hyper carve, a 1975 Val Surf, and a Dreggs 78 reissue with tracker mid tracks and abec 11 bertz. I am out here in the southern most part of Maryland, so we dont have much in the way of ditches out here . However, I need to make a trip up to Baltimore and hit up Landsdowne Skatepark, looks way awsome. Survived there since the 70's. Anyway, thats me.

Hello Alex,
Welcome aboard!!!
That honeycomb fiberglass deck sounds like my old Hobie "Professional" deck from the mid-70's.
I just bought some of the Tracker Midtracks for me & a extra pair for the store. Very kool trucks & Chris at Abec11 makes great wheels. If you ever find any ditches out there make sure to take photos & send them in.
Peace ![Beer [B]](/forum/emoticons/emotion-22.gif)

I am getting ready to head over to Hawaii to visit my parents. They are stationed there, so it makes it nice to vacation and have a place to stay and free tour guides. lol I am going to be upgrading my dad's favorite 70's board with some Bones Reds, 80a Avalons, and Tracker Full Tracks. I am somewhat responsible for breaking one of the ACS 650 trucks on his board. The rocker pin broke on me while riding it, made for a nice crash when the trucks became full swivel monster trucks. The pivot cup rubber was pretty much non existent and it was just metal on metal rubbing. It has been near to impossible to find a seller of ACS 650's, especially when you tell the collector you are going to slap them on a board and use them like they were meant to be. Luckily with the Lords of Dogtown movie they needed to re-issue some of the original spec equipment. Those Tracker reissues are awsome. I will take some b4 and after pics of the 70's board and post them in about 2 weeks.
