Born: Feb 1966 Canoga Park, CA. I remember riding metal and clay wheels in the street during these early years but I was really young. Moved to Palos Verdes, CA. in 1974 and near 1975 got urethane wheels, a banana board and a skateboarder magazine and was bombing gnarly hills at age 8. Moved to Carlsdbad, CA. 1976 and really started skating everywhere and everything that was within reach. I spent alot of time at the beach and skated all other times. Started going to Carlsbad Skate park in 1977 and got on the team in I think 1978 0r 79. I lived across the street from Carlsbad High and it was a great school to skate, complete with a bank and all. I was pretty pathetic 1A skater but I then skated in ASPO. I started taking the bus to Del Mar in like 1979 as well and skated/hung out there for a summer. I moved to Cypress, OC, California in 1980 and was still in ASPO. OC was great with a really different more intense energy and more skateparks. I was primed for Punk because of Skateboarder/Action Now magazine and cut my hair and fell for the whole crazy scene. I got to ride Whittier, Big O, Lakewood, Paramount but I missed Skatopia. I dropped out of the contest circuit and lived on my skateboard untill driving in 1984 although I really did not skate vert again untill later. I was "working" for a guy David (psycho) Ortiz in 1986-88 and during this time we skated so much I still am trying to remember it all. A cool thing about this time I got to meet all these punk rock and skateboard icons of mine and skate with them at ditches and pools while in full rasta mode. I got into drugs in late 88 and was out to lunch untill 91 with little skating. In 1991 I was left with my two young daughters who I cared for through high school. I moved to Vashon WA. in 1992 and did not skate, no cement and young parent. Moved to Texas in 1999 and stared skating just 7 weeks ago (June2006) because Austin built a kick ass skatepark near my house "Mable Davis" with a nice pool and a few banks. Now I am stoked and skating 4-5 days a week and questioning why I ever stopped. I feel better and am losing weight and gaining muscle and have something to be stoked on that I have done since literally before I can remember.

Hello & Welcome SkatE_4_LiFe
As for trucks... Independent 169's or Tracker Dart Sixtrack 161's both work perfect for the Ditch Stick.
I use a Tracker Sixtrack (stable) in the rear & Indy 169 (turny) in the front.
As seen in this photo...

Just experiment and have fun.
That is what it is really all about anyways.![Yes [Y]](/forum/emoticons/emotion-21.gif)
