Alright, another JFA fan.

Brian just contacted me for some photos I took of them back in 1982.  Here is one of them.

groovy collection.

Looks like you are a fan of the Comet decks.

Not long after I got back into skating I picked up a Proflex 40. This was before I had found some decent ditches and was mainly skating garages and such. It worked fine for that purpose but was a bit redundant to some of the other lengths of boards I had and not really built for that use, so I passed it on to a buddy I knew would make use of it. I always liked the feel of that deck and I am a fan of Comet's construction quality and materials. What's the wheelbase and how is the swing weight e.g does it take much effort to kick turn, feel overly long, &c. What type of ditches and stuff are you doing with it? I wouldn't mind having one of those again maybe, now that I've possibly got some spots I can put it to proper use.

late 80's rider, santa cruz blank from a friend's brother who was on flow, think its a bod boyle shape, about 1988, could be wrong, the whole end of that decade was a blur to me.

Gen one venture 160ish trucks, OJ 2 team riders 64mm 92a that are more like 58mm now, nmb bearings.

still actually rides ok even with 17 or 18 year old bearings that I have never done anything to, well not that ok but it rides

size comparison to a poolside ditch desperado, that Wasted Youth sticker is worth the price of admission
